SIRAJGANJ: Police seized 600 bottles of Phensedyl and held driver and helper of a truck for carrying the illegal drug in Sirajganj on Sunday early morning.

Police also seized the vehicle.

The detainees have been identified as Arif Hossain (24), truck driver and son of Maleque Hossain of Benapole of Jessore and Yasin Ali (22), helper of the truck and son of Julhas Bepari of the same area.

Bangabandhu Bridge Pashchim Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Helal Uddin told banglanews that on tip-off they setup a check post and seized the Phensedyl carrying truck.

Police have also detained the driver and helper of the truck, he added.

According to the OC, a case has been filed in this regard.
