GAZIPUR: Four persons were killed in separate road crashes in Hitapara, Shafipur and Konabari areas of the district early Thursday.

Identity of the deceased could not be known yet.

Highway police sub-inspector Bahar Alam told banglanews that a truck knocked a Poultry-laden pick-up van from behind in Hotapara area on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway, leaving pick-up van driver and helper dead on the spot.

At the same, unidentified vehicles ran over a woman in Konabari and a man in Shafipur area on Dhaka-Tangail highway.

The bodies were kept at Shahid Tajuddin Ahmad Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.
