BGB working to reduce border killing

SATKHIRA: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Khulna sector commander Colonel Khalilur Rahman categorically said that the force is cordially working to reduce the border killing to zero.

Moreover, the BGB is also working to stop smuggling and trafficking, he added.

Kalilur Rahman made the comment to the media at BGB-38 battalion headquarters in Satkhira.

Mentioning Satkhira border known as a smuggling-prone area, he said that sometimes BGB personnel also come under attack by the smugglers.

About the cattle collection from the border areas, the BGB sector commander said, ‘We urge the shepherds and cattle traders not to collect cattle from India’.

BGB-38 battalion acting commander Major Nazir Ahmed Bakshi and deputy commander Major Mojammael also attended the press confernece.

However, the press conference was held as two cattle traders were killed within two weeks on Satkhira frontier.
