MADARIPUR: Two banana traders were killed in a collision between two trucks on Dhaka-Barisal highway in Kamaldi bridge area under Rajoir upazila on Tuesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Alim, 26 and Abdul Wahid 37, hailed from Kushtia.

Police and locals said that a banana-laden Barisal-bound truck hit another truck standing in the area, leaving the duo dead.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Officer-in-Charge of Rajoir Thana Anwar Hossain Bhuiyan said the bodies were send to Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy and the trucks were seized.
