DHAKA: The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) gave an approval to five developmental projects, including a project at Rampal coal-powered Power plant area, involving Tk 6553.01-crore on Tuesday.

The approval came from a meeting of the government’s highest policy-making body at the NEC conference room in city with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Of the cost of the projects, Tk 3,947.64-crore would come from government exchequer while respective offices will finance Tk 17.85-crore and Tk 2,587.52-crore will be provided as project aid.
