DHAKA: Bangladesh foreign minister Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali expressed his condolence for the death of Bahrain soldiers in Yemen conflict.

‘I am deeply saddened and shocked to learn the news of martyrdom of five members of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Bahrain during their fight against Houthi rebels in Yemen,’ he said.

‘We, the people and the government of Bangladesh, express our deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to Your Excellency and through you to the bereaved family members as well as all the Bahraini brethren.’

‘May the martyrs rest in eternal peace in the highest place in the paradise and may the Almighty Allah grant the brotherly people of the Kingdom of Bahrain the fortitude and patience to bear this irreparable loss.’

‘I am sure the supreme sacrifices the martyrs made for the noble cause will be remembered for long in the Kingdom and beyond.’

The minister further said that Bangladesh expresses its support to the efforts undertaken by the Kingdom of Bahrain in coalition with other Gulf and Arab countries to restore the peace and stability as well as to re-establish the legitimate government in the Republic of Yemen.

‘We reaffirm our government’s commitment to work together with the Kingdom and the world community to work for peace and progress for the Muslim Ummah,’ he added.
