DHAKA: The Australian High Commission invites individuals, community groups, local NGOs, academic institutions, research bodies, libraries, museums, sports organizations or any other organizations engaged in development activities in Bangladesh to submit project proposals for funding under the Direct Aid Program (DAP).
DAP is a small grants scheme that advances development and addresses humanitarian hardship.
Projects are expected to be sustainable and oriented towards self-help, a press release said on Tuesday.
Submissions should demonstrate a commitment on the part of the local authorities and/or people who will be the beneficiaries to implement the activities and sustain them.
According to the release, projects that will offer direct and immediate benefits to target groups will be given preference.
