5 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims die in Saudi

RIYADH: Five more Bangladesh nationals, who went to Saudi Arabia to perform the Hajj this year, have died in Makkah-al-Mukaram in Saudi Arabia.

So far, 33 Bangladeshi, including seven female and 26 male, hajj pilgrims died this year.

Bangladesh hajj mission sources confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Md Gias Uddin, 51, who hailed from Laxmipur sadar, died at 5:00pm Wednesday. His pilgrim ID No 1097067 and Passport No. is BE0724944. he arrived at Saudi Arab on August 31 to perform hajj.

Mohammad Abdul Alim, 48, of Belkuchi upazila of Sirajgonj died at 6:00am Wednesday. His pilgrim ID No. 1040023 and Passport No. is AF0852909.

Md Abdul Gafur, 85, hailed from Choddagram upazila of Comilla, died at 10:00am Monday. His pilgrim ID No. is 0779019 and Passport No. BF0068198.

Nazrul Islam Bala, 74, died at Al Noor Hospital in Makkah around 2:00am Friday. His Pilgrim ID No. is 1039032 and Passport No BE0262495. He hailed from Sakhiipur of Shariatpur district.

Mohammad Abul Kasem Sufi, 45, who hailed from Karnafulli thana of Chittagong Metro, died on Friday. His pilgrim ID No. is 0204226 and Passport No BE0191586.

The peak of Haj (Day of Arafat) will be on Wednesday, September 23, 2015.

A total of 101,758 Bangladeshis will perform the Hajj this year.
