2 killed in B’baria road crash

BRAHMANBARIA: Two people were killed and three others injured in a road accident on Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Sonarampur in Ashuganj upazila on Sunday.

 The deceased were identified as Anwar Hossain, 45, and Jabed Al, 65 of Aruail village under Sarail Upazila.

Ashuganj Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Selim Uddin told banglanews that an oil-laden lorry collided head-on with a pick-up van in front of Rajmoni Highway Hotel around 9:00am, leaving five people injured.

The injured were admitted to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital.

Of the injured, Anwar and Jabed were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated.

But they succumbed to their injuries on way to Dhaka.
