CHITTAGONG: Police arrested two passengers with 4,600 pieces of yaba tablets after conducting a search in a bus in Chittagong port city on Monday.

The arrestees were identified as Sayeed Mia (35) and Marjina Begum (20).

Narcotics control department personnel, on a tip-off, conducted a search drive in a Dhaka-bound bus of S Alam Paribahan coming from Cox’s Bazar.

Chittagong Metropolitan sub-zone deputy director Aslam Khan told banglanews that they searched a bus and arrested two passengers with yaba tablets.

A case has been filed with Bakalia Thana in this regard, he added.
