DHAKA: Asma Kibria, wife of slain finance minister SAMS Kibria, was buried in the grave of her husband Monday evening.

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) inspector Monirul Islam told banglanews that she was buried after the second namaz-e-janaza following the maghrib prayers.

Earlier, her first namaz-e-janaza was held at Azad Masjid in city’s Gulshan area after asar prayers.

The couple’s son Reza Kibria told the media, ‘My mother died with the hope of trial of my father’s brutal murder. But the trial has not been done yet’.

‘The possibility of fair investigation and trail is less in the country,’ the aggrieved son commented.

Earlier in the morning, Asma died from a cardiac arrest at age of 78.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed her deep condolence at the death of Asma Kibria.
