DHAKA: Security has been beefed up at the Supreme Court (SC) area in city as the hearing on the review petition filed challenging the death penalty for war crimes convicts Salauddin Quader Chowdhury and Ali Ahsan Mujahid began on Tuesday morning.

Huge member of law enforcers have been deployed at all entrances since Tuesday morning.  Besides, increasing vigilance of uniformed police and plain-cloth members of law enforcement agencies were also deployed in the area.

Every suspected person is being allowed to enter the area after searching at entrances of main building of court and Annex Bhaban and at Mazar gate.

Additional law enforcers were deployed in the area to avoid any untoward situation.
