DHAKA: Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk) authorities have sealed the tilted 4-storey house in city’s Mohammadpur area on Saturday (January 9).
Confirming the matter to banglanews Rajuk authorized officer Engineer Asharaful Islam said they have not only sealed the house but also asked experts from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) to visit the place.
‘We will take final decision about the house after getting the suggestion from the BUET experts,’ he added.
‘Moreover, we are examining the papers of the house.’
Earlier Saturday afternoon, Mohammadpur Thana duty officer sub-inspector (SI) Noyon told banglanews that a 4-storey building 19/4 in Block-C on Taj Mahal Road in city’s Mohammadpur area has been tiled.
Police forces and fire fighters are staying around the house, he added.
Mithun, a tenant of the house and also a student of Dhaka College, told banglanews that owner of the house Swapan does not live here.
A neighbor Obaidul Islam told banglanews that the house has recently been 4-storey from 3-storey.
‘This may cause the tilt,’ he added.
