LALMONIRHAT: At least 25 people were injured in a road accident on Lalmonirhat-Rangpur highway in Mahendranagar area under Sadar Upazila on Sunday morning.

The identity of the injured people could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said a Dhaka-bound passenger bus knocked a roadside tree as its driver lost control over the steering at around 08:30am, leaving 25 passengers injured.

Later, locals rushed the injured people to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital.

Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge Jamir Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
