DHAKA: In a latest development, police administration witnessed a major reshuffle as seven Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and 16 Superintendent of Police (SP) have been transferred.

Home Ministry issued different orders in this regard on Wednesday (July 26).

DIG of Barisal Sheikh Maruf Hasan has been made DIG of the Naval Police. On the other hand, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police Commissioner Shafiqul Islam has been made the new DIG of Barisal Range. 

Dhaka Range Additional DIG Mahabubur Rahman has been transferred as new Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police.

Moreover, Naval Police DIG Moniruzzaman has been made DIG of Police headquarters, DIG of Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Shoibal Kanti Chowdhury has been made DIG of SPBN, DMP Joint Police Commissioner AYM Belalur Rahman has been made (acting) additional police commissioner and Additional DIG of Police Headquarters Abu Hassan Tariq has been made acting DIG of the Police Headquarters.

Barisal Superintendent of Police (SP) Aktaruzzaman is transferred as the AIG of the Police Headquarters, Naogaon district police superintendent Md. Mozammel Haque has been made Deputy Commissioner of DMP and also Habiganj Police Superintendent Joydeb Kumar Bhadra was transferred to DMP.

DMP Uttara zone DC Bidhan Tripura has been made SP of Habiganj, DMP DC Saiful Islam was posted as Barisal Superintendent of Police and SPBN Superintendent of Police Md Iqbal has been transferred as Naogaon SP.
