TANGAIL: Two persons were killed in two separate incidents as lightning struck them in Nagarpur of the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Mintu Mia, 45, from Dhakhkin Nagarpur village and Arjan Ali, 35, from Kustia village of Dhubria union.  

Local sources said that lightning struck Mintu and Arjan while they were catching fish in different swamps during drizzling, leaving them died on the spot.

Nagarpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Munir Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
