DHAKA: Law enforcers now busted casinos at Arambagh Krira Sangha and Dilkusha Sporting Club during ongoing drives in capital’s Motijheel area on Sunday (September 22).

However, no one could be arrested as the people inside escaped after receiving information of the operation.

Police went on a raid in four clubs, including the two, from around 2:30 pm on Sunday (September 22),.

Shibali Noman, ADC of the Motijheel Division, said illegal casinos operating in the Arambagh and Dilkusha Club were busted by police. However, no one could be arrested as the people fled on secret information.

Meanwhile, Motijheel Division Deputy Police Commissioner (DC) Anwar Hossain said materials of casino games, cash and liquor bottles were recovered from Victoria Sporting Club. 

Apart from this, raids were also conducted at Mohammedan Sporting Club. Details will be disclosed after completion of the raid.
