Rail Staff Killing: 10 staff sacked

DHAKA: Some 10 Railway men dismissed on Saturday for their negligence of performing the duty centering killing a staff and looting Tk 15 lakh.

Of the accused, four are railway police and six are from security guards of Bangladesh Railway.

On Friday night, miscreants killed agreement-based appointee, booking clerk Israfil, 60 and looted the huge amount of money.

Later, a 3-member investigation committee was formed for looking into the killing.
 
Railway Minister Mujibul Haque rushed Kamalapur Railway station and instantly dismissed 10 railway officials for their irresponsible behaviour during the duty hour.

Minister Mujibul Haque termed the incident as ‘unexpected’ and said that the involved will be brought under trial.

He also announced that the family of the victim would be given Tk 1 lakh.
