Amit Habib, the editor of Daily Desh Rupantor, was admitted to a hospital in the capital on Thursday (July 21).
He is now undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) of BRB Hospital.
Mustafa Mamun, the executive editor of the newspaper, confirmed this information.
He said that he was taken to the hospital when he suddenly fell ill while working in the office on Thursday.
Mustafa Mamun said that the doctors informed that Amit Habib fell ill due to brain hemorrhage. Initially, it was decided to keep him under observation for three days.
Earlier, Amit Habib suffered a stroke in 2020. Prior to joining Desh Rupantor, he also served as the Advisory Editor of Daily Kaler Kantho, Chief News Editor of Samakal and Daily Jai Jai Din.
