Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Detective Motijheel Division arrested 4 drug peddlers along with 2000 pieces of Yaba tablets in Motijheel area of the capital on Saturday (Oct 15).

The arrestees were identified as Md. Khaled, Md. A. Rahim, Md. Mamun Haque and Md. A. Saboor.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Abdullah Al Mamun confirmed the matter today.

He said four peddlers were standing in front of a coconut shop in Motijheel AGB Colony area to sell yaba tablets. Later, "We conducted a drive and arrested them along with the tablets".

Meanwhile, after the drive, three cell phones used in drug dealings were recovered from them, said ADC.

A case has been lodged against them under the Narcotics Control Act at Motijheel police station, added Al Mamun.
