Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate courts today (October 19) sent 134 leaders and activists of BNP to jail in different cases filed with different police stations across the capital.

Of the 134, 50 were sent to jail in cases filed with Ramna Police Station under explosives substances act. 

Besides, Chhatradal joint general secretary Qazi Zia Uddin Basit was placed on a three-day remand in the case.

The accused include Abu Sayeed Md Rayhan, Rubel, Jasim Uddin, Nurul Amin, Main Uddin, Liton Miah, Arshad Ali, Sultan Mahmud, Shahidul Islam, Golam Mostafa, Jahangir, Amzad Hossain, Mahbul, Kamal Hossain, Liakat, Sayeed, Sohel, Ashraf Hossain, Mofazzal Hossain, Ali Akbar, Monsur Talukder, Manjil, Muniruzzaman, Tanjil, Motaleb, Anwar Hossain, Haider Ali and Sekender Ali.
