BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today (March 30) said party chief Khaleda Zia is doing well now and she is celebrating Eid with her family in London after eight years.
Speaking at the party’s Gulshan office, Fakhrul said Khaleda Zia’s health has improved, and she is expected to return home in mid-April.
The former prime minister, who was taken to London on January 8 for advanced treatment, is staying at the residence of her eldest son, BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, along with her daughters-in-law and granddaughters.
This marks her third Eid celebration in London and the first in ten years at her son's home.
BNP leaders also conveyed Eid greetings from Khaleda Zia and Tarique Rahman to the nation.
