Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced a fresh 48-hour countrywide blockade for the fifth phase from Wednesday (November 15) morning.

Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, the senior joint secretary general, announced the programme virtually this afternoon (November 13).

Today is the second day of the 48-hour countrywide blockade called by BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami.

The parties enforced nationwide blockade in 4th phases from October 31 following the violence centring BNP's rally on October 28.
