DHAKA: Opposition BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday warned the government about terrible consequences if they try to prevent the Dhaka-bound ‘March for Democracy’ on Sunday.
She came up with the warning after exchanging greetings with the Christian community about Christmas Day at her Gulshan residence in the evening.
Khaleda Zia said: “The movement we called for Sunday would be a peaceful movement. If the government is not afraid of people and they would not obstruct the movement. Consequences will be terrible if they try to prevent it.”
During the time, she also slammed the Awami League government on the allegation of oppressing the opposition leaders, bad governance and plundering of public property.
