DHAKA: Wishing a very happy New Year to all, Sajib Wajed Joy, son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said 2013 has been a year of tremendous turmoil and destruction and he hopes that 2014 will be a peaceful one.

The information and technology adviser to the premier made the observation through his facebook post at 12:45am January 1.

The post reads as below—    

“A very Happy New Year to everyone. This has been a year of tremendous turmoil and destruction. I hope 2014 will be a peaceful one.

It is most unfortunate that the last day of the year has ended with yet another tragedy. BNP-Jamaat terrorists have burned yet another person to death, this time a businessman. They set fire to his shop with him inside it. This terrorism has to stop.
