KALIAKOIR, GAZIPUR: Three people sustained serious burn injuries as blockaders hurled petrol bombs at a vegetable-laden truck in Safipur Bazar area under Kalialoir Upazila of the district on Wednesday night.

The ill-fated persons are---Moksed Ali, 31, Alamgir Hossain, 40 and Lokman Hossian, 38.

Witnesses said that blockaders threw three to four petrol bombs at the vehicle at around 11:00pm, leaving its driver and two vegetable traders critically injured.

Confirming the matter, Mouchak police outpost In-charge Sub-Inspector Azharul Islam told banglanews, “The injured were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.”
