Dinajpur Shibir man succumbs

DINAJPUR: An activist of Chhatra Shibir, who sustained injuries during poll violence in Birganj of the district on Sunday noon, died at hospital early Monday.   

The deceased was identified as Asaduzzaman, 15, activist of Chhatra Shibir, the student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami.

Earlier, at least four people were injured in a clash between leaders-activists of Awami League and Chhatra Shibir during an attack at polling center at Bhugirhat in the upazila.

The injured were rushed to Dinajpur Medical College Hospital where Asaduzzaman breathed his last early hours on the day.

Dinajpur Kotwali thana officer-in-charge Altaf Hossain confirmed the death news to banglanews.

Earlier, during the same clash, another injured Salauddin, 15, succumbed to his injuries.   The death toll in the poll violence in the district rose to five.
