JESSORE: Miscreants chopped a ward unit Juba League leader to death at Churamonkati union under Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Jakir Hossain, 32, general secretary of ward-5 unit Juba League of the union.

On information, police recovered the body from a garden near to his Churamonkati home at 9:00am.

Confirming the matter, Kotwali model thana officer-in-charge Emdadul Haque Sheikh told banglanews that Jakir might have been killed following the dispute over drug business.
