DHAKA: All leaders of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) from top to bottom, including the party chairperson, should be elected by the votes of the party activists.

Abdullah Al Mamun, a citizen from Fatikchhari Upazila of Chittagong, came with this assertion to banglanews on Thursday.

Leadership of Chhatra Dal, the student wing of BNP, should also be reorganized by election not by selection, he added.

Mamun also opined that the party should introduce enrolment campaign for membership to make a strong vote bank.
