DHAKA: Food Minister Advocate Kamrul Islam said that the government will assist BNP if they leave the path of violence and practice fair politics in the country.
The minster also warned, “Leave the path of violence, otherwise the government will take stern action.”
He came up with the assertion while addressing a discussion at the seminar room of the public library of the capital marking the death anniversary of Sergeant Jahurul Haque.

He further said that “We have formed the government for five years so the next polls will be held as per the constitution.”
He suggested BNP to reorganize the party for next national polls rather creating violence and establishing falsehood.
Any anti-liberation forces have to be wiped out forever, he added.
With Mohila Awami League President Fazilatunnesa Musharraf in the chair, the discussion was attended by, among others, Awami League leaders of Shahe Alam Murad, Jahangir Alam.
