DHAKA: Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will take program to gheroa the Election Commission if their win in the third phase of upazila polls is snatched.
BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi told media at the party’s central office in city’s Naya Paltan area Friday noon.
Rizvi said activists of Awami League and its youth wing Juba League along with police are attacking the BNP-supported candidates for third phase of upazila elections to be held on Saturday.
He further said that the Election Commission pays little heed to them. The EC allows AL activists’ attacks as well as the captures of poll centers, alleges Rizvi.
The BNP leader complains attacks on BNP-backed candidates in different areas including Muladi, Shariyatpur, Sherpur, Babuganj, Pirojpur, and Kachua upazilas.
