DHAKA: Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said that the government will take an initiative by next June aiming to ban Jamaat-e-Islam in the country.

He came up with the disclosure when he was addressing the program of ‘Muktir Utshab 2014’ organized by the Liberation War Museum on Dhaka University campus on Friday.

Around 10 thousands of students from more than 600 schools took part in the program.

In the program features photography exhibition on liberation war, documentary screening, history telling by the Freedom Fighters, distribution of books about the history of the war of independence and the cultural functions upholding the spirit of the liberation war.

Eminent artists, singers of the country are to perform in the program.

The Trustee of Liberation War Museum Dr Sarwar Ali, Coordinator of the organizers Rafiqul Islam also spoke there.

The Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid and Cultural Minister Asaduzzaman Noor are also expected to be present as special guests.
