COMILLA: BNP-led 19-party alliance called half-day hartal for Sunday at Chauddagram and Nangolkot upazilas of the district demanding postponement of polls in the upazilas.

Quazi Jafar Ahmed, Chairman of a Jatiya Party faction, also an ally of BNP-led alliance, at office Ganabhaban upazila BNP at 12:45pm and Najir Ahmed, Nangalkot upazila Chairman Candidate backed by BNP-led 19-party alliance at 11:45am made the announcement.

They alleged that cadres of ruling Awami League captured all the centers and cast fake votes randomly.

To protest these, half-day hartal was declared which will be observed from 6:00am to 12:00 noon Sunday in Chauddagram and Nangolkot upazilas.
