BARISAL: Daylong hartal in Sunday observed in Muladi upazila of the district over vote rigging during the third phase of upazila election.

BNP-led 19-party alliance called the hartal on Saturday.

No picket was seen in the street during hartal hours, reported banglanews correspondent.

Shah-e-Alam, Officer-in-Charge of Muladi Thana, told banglanews that no untoward incident was reported during the hartal hours. The situation was under control, he said.
