A Dhaka court on Sunday (June 22) acquitted BNP Executive Committee Member Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu and his wife Sabina Yasmin of graft and tax evasion charges.

Judge Md Abul Kashem of Dhaka Special Judge Court-1 passed the verdict today. 

Court Clerk Rajib De confirmed the matter to the media.

According to case documents, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) had accused Dulu and his wife of amassing illegal wealth worth Tk 8.44 crore and concealing information about assets worth Tk 5 crore. 

The case was filed by the ACC in April 2007.
