DHAKA: Ruling Awami League publicity and publications Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud on Thursday categorically said Tarique Rahman is telling lie for coming to limelight.

The AL leader came up with the assertion while addressing a press conference at Dhanmandi political office in the city at noon.

Indicating Tarique Rahman, Hasan Mahmud said: “If you have courage, return the country and face the cases of corruption, looting and money laundering.”

In response to a question, he said the government started diplomatic process to return Tarique Rahman to the country.

Awami League Office Secretary Abdus Sobahan Golap, Deputy Office Secretary Mrinal Kandi Das, Central Member AKM Enamul Haque Shamim, SM Kamal Hossain and Sujit Roy Nandi were among others present in conference.
