Khaleda for unity in party

DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia made a directive to the party leaders and activists for unity in the party to run anti-government movement till topple the government.

She came up with the directive at a view exchange meeting with the leaders of three organizational districts----Panchagarh, Nilphamari and Saidpur--- at her Gulshan office in the city on Thursday night.

The party chief also instructed them to stand beside the party men at the grassroots.

The meeting began at 9:30pm and continued till 10:30pm.

At the meeting, the party chief gave guidelines to the leaders and activists on future movement hearing their demands and expectations and discussed about the cases filed against them.

Panchagarh district BNP president Mozahar Hossain, general secretary (GS) Abdul Aziz, Saidpur GS Amzad Hossain, organising secretary (OS) Abdul Gafur and Nilphamari district convener Anisul Arefin Babu, member secretary Shamsuzzaman, among others, attended the meeting.

A total of 21 leaders including the newly elected upazila chairmen and vice-chairmen from each district met Khaleda.

Among the party senior leaders, acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, joint-secretary M Shahjahan, Mizanur Rahman Minu, Salauddin Ahmed, Rangpur Division OS Asadul Habib Dulu were present there.
