GAIBANDHA: Election Commissioner (EC) Abu Hafiz on Tuesday said voters would be provided smart cards in the near future.

The election commissioner made the disclosure after visiting Jundah High School at Sadar upazila of the district.

“We have already taken initiatives in this regard,” he added.

Regional election officer Moniruzzaman, district administrator Ehsan-e-Elahi and district election officer Shahinur Rahman Pramanik were among others present on the occasion.
