31 Jamaat men sent to jail in Naogaon

NAOGAON: A Naogaon court on Tuesday sent 31 leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami to jail in case filed over a clash with police at Sapahar upazila of the district.

Senior Magistrate A Malek gave the order at 4:00pm rejecting their bail petition.

Upazila Jamaat unit secretary Maulana Sadikul Islam, district Jamaat Unit (West) treasure Saidur Rahman are, among the accused, those were sent to jail.

Defense lawyer Advocate Yunus Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.
