AL runner wins Madaripur Sadar

MADARIPUR: Ruling Awami League-supported candidate Pavelur Rahman Shafiq Khan won the Sadar upazila parishad polls of the district unofficially.

AL-backed Shahabuddin Hawladar and Pavin Jahan also won in the posts of vice chairman (VC) and VC (female) respectively.

Sources of the election commission said, poll was held at the 114 voting centers of the upazila on Thursday.
