DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia urged the youths of the country to join the movement to oust incumbent government.

She made the remarks in a view exchange meeting with the leaders of Facebook based online activists’ organization ‘Blue Band Call’ at her political office in city’s Gulshan area on Sunday night.

Terming incumbent government worst than the then caretaker government regime after 1/11, Khaleda said: “The country is being ruled by not a party, but a person and dialogues of that person is becoming act, which must be prevented immediately.”

She urged the young people to protest jointly against the government to overcome the situation.

The BNP chairperson demanded election under caretaker government. However she said free and fair election could not be held under the Awami League (AL) government.

While talking about the movement of election boycott, the former PM said, “the people determined the fate of government through December 29’s program in 2013. But, then the government prevented me from going outside besieging my house with sand-laden trucks.”

There is no investment while manpower export has been stopped and some industries are closing one by one due to corruption of AL govt, she alleged.

Khaleda also claimed that the educational institutions have become an arsenal as the cadres of Chhatra League have modern arms.

She also assured to increase job opportunities after assuming power next.
‘Blue Band Call’ president M Fayej Chowdhury chaired the program where BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and BNP chairperson’s adviser Dr Osman Farooq, among others, were present.
