DHAKA: Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal, farmers' wing of BNP, Saturday declared an eight-day programme to press home their 13-point demands.
BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made the announcement at press conference at its Nayapaltan central office around 12 noon.
Fakhrul said the front organization of BNP will stage a eight-day programme on a 13-point demands including stopping power price hike, border killing, bribe and extortion in providing agro-loan, cultivation of Nerika Rice, increasing subsidy in agriculture and reduction of price of fertilizer-seed-pesticides and diesel.
The programmes include memorandum submission to deputy commissioners across the country on December 23, discussion at divisional cities from December 24-28 with participation of farmers, discussion meeting at Dhaka on December 29.
On December 30, party flag will be hoisted at BNP office marking the founding anniversary of Krishak Dal.
BNP will wage all-out movement if the power price is hiked, Fakhrul said.
Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal general secretary Shamsuzzaman Dudu, Joint General Secretary Tobgiri Hossain and among others were present at the press meet.
