DHAKA: Local units of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) separately called a daylong hartal in Daganbhuiyan upazila of Feni, Sirajganj and Lalmonirhat districts for Sunday amid the nationwide indefinite blockade called by BNP. 

Banglanews Sirajganj Correspondent reports: District BNP on Saturday announced that it will observe a daylong hartal protesting Saturday’s attack of police and Chhatra League on the party men.

At least, 10 people were injured as BNP men locked into clash with police in the district town on Saturday.

District BNP unit president Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Banglanews District Correspondent in Lalmonirhat adds: local BNP announced a daylong hartal across the district for Sunday demanding withdrawal of cases filed against over five hundreds leaders and activists of the party.

District BNP unit general secretary Hafizur Rahman Babla made the announcement at a press conference in the morning.

Banglanews District Correspondent in Feni reports: Local BNP called a daylong hartal across Daganbhuiyan upazila of the district for Sunday in protest against confinement of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia to her Gulshan office in the city.
