DHAKA: Miscreants set fire to a passenger bus in Shahbagh area of the city on Saturday evening.

The driver of the bus told banglanews that two miscreants got on the bus from National Press Club area and at one stage they set fire around 5:45pm at Shahbagh intersection and fled the scene immediately.

No one was reportedly injured in the incident.

However, fire service control room operator Golam Mostafa said that a unit of fire fighters rushed to the spot to douse the fire.

On information, police rushed to the spot and cordoned the area.

Shahbagh Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Mahfuz confirmed the matter to banglanews.
