Food crisis at Khaleda office

DHAKA: Food and drinking water crisis has been emerged at political office of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in city’s Gulshan as law enforcers have been allowing none to enter with food and water since Wednesday afternoon.

The officials and staff of Khaleda’s office claimed that they have been suffering from the food crisis for last two days.

They are now living on dry food, which also came to an end on Thursday afternoon, they added.

BNP chief’s Media Wing Officer Shamsuddin Didar confirmed the matter to banglanews at 3:45pm.

Didar claimed that the BNP chief Khaleda Zia along with some 50 other staff, including him are starving in a confined condition inside the office as law enforcers are not giving approval to enter the office with food and drinking water.

He also claimed that the on-duty law enforcers sent back the food and drinking water carrying vans from the office gate on Wednesday night.

Some 120 packets of foods and some bottles of drinking water were brought by a supply van but they were not allowed to enter the office.

However, the status of food and drinking water of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia is yet to know.
