DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), in several drives, detained eight men of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and its students wing Chhatra Shibir from different places of the capital.

The DMP media sources confirmed the matter to banglanews on Sunday.
 
They were detained for their alleged involvement in ongoing sabotages, the sources added.

Among them, two are activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Shibir while rests are BNP activists.

Police rounded up them in 24-hour drives from Saturday morning to Sunday morning.

DMP source also added that the drives will continue to nab anarchists.
