DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Friday placed BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on four-day fresh remand in a case filed for vandalism during ongoing blockade enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance.

Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibul Haque passed the order at noon in response of the plea for seven-day remand by Mohammad Thana Police.

Jatiyatabadi Swechasebok Dal central leader professor Aminul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said “Rizvi now under the custody of Mohammadpur Thana.”

Earlier on February 1, Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested the senior BNP leader.
