DHAKA UNIVERSITY: Miscreants hurled cocktails on ‘Aparajeyo Bangla’ on Dhaka University (DU) campus in city on Wednesday.

The monument, a symbol of nation’s liberation war and independence, is situated in front of Arts Faculty of DU.

Witnesses said some miscreants hurled two cocktails from the fourth floor of Arts Faculty around 11:00am. One of the cocktails hit the monument and damaged some parts of it.

There is no report of injuries, however, the incident created panic among the students and pedestrians in the area.

DU acting proctor professor Dr AM Amjad said none was arrested in this connection as the miscreants fled the spot immediately.
