DHAKA: Law enforcers released Advocate Tajul Islam, lawyer of Jamaat-e-Islami leaders who are facing war crimes trial, after two hours of detention from city’s Paltan area on Thursday.

Another lawyer of Jamaat-e-Islami Shishir Mohammad Monir told banglanews that Paltan Thana police detained Tajul from the area around 8:30pm.

Later, the law enforcers released the lawyer around 10:30pm.

Monir said the incident was a misunderstanding. After getting release, Tajul went to the ‘Law Chamber’ in Paltan area.

However, police did not give any remarks in this regards.
