BOGRA: A Juba League activist was chopped to death by some miscreants in Subgram intersection under Sadar upazila of the district on Thursday.

The decease was identified as Maniruzzaman Manik, 28, son of Tofazzel Hossain of the area.

Bogra Assistant Superintendent of Police (SP) and also officer-in-charge of District Police Media Cell Gaziur Rahman told banglanews that some miscreants chopped Manik to death in the area around 8:15pm.

Another young man Ratul Islam Rafi, 18, also severely injured by the attack.

The SP said Manik might be killed by miscreants for previous enmity.

However, police has been looking into the matter, the SP added.
